Day 01
Frankfurt

Arrival at Frankfurt airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Frankfurt is the financial and commercial heart of Germany, a city filled with fascinating contrasts between modern development and historic landmarks. Accommodations at the Hotel Mövenpick Frankfurt City****.

Day 02
Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Freiburg  (290 km/180mi)

In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit the famous castle and enjoy a sightseeing tour. Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country, idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River. Our next destination is Freiburg. Accommodations at the Hotel Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus****.

Day 03
Freiburg - Lake Titi -  Lindau - Füssen  (280 km/175 mi)

After breakfast you enjoy a sightseeing tour of lovely Freiburg, famous for its beautiful church tower. Next you travel to Lake Titi, nestled in the famous Black Forest. We continue the tour to the small island of Lindau in Lake Constance, from where you have a spectacular view of the Alps. Our final destination today is Füssen, the southernmost point on our tour of Romantic Germany. Accommodations at the Luitpoldpark-Hotel****.

Day 04
Neuschwanstein -  Oberammergau  - Ettal Abby - Garmisch Partenkirchen
(70 km/44 mi)

We begin the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious "mad king". In the afternoon we travel to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and crafts. Then we continue the tour to the Ettal Benedictine Abbey. Today's final destination is Garmisch Partenkirchen, the winter sports capital of Germany and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This is where you will find Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze
(2.962 m/9715 ft). Accommodations at the Treff Hotel Alpina****.

Day 05
Garmisch Pattenkirchen - Linderhof - Munich (130 km/80 mi)

The morning is free to explore at your leisure. An optional excursion is to ascend to the top of Zugspitze (not included). In the afternoon you travel to Munich and visit Linderhof castle. This is one of 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where the "mad king" actually lived. Accommodations at the Hotel Hilton Munich City****.

Day 06
Munich

After breakfast you visit the gardens of the Nymphenburg summer palace. Next we tour the city and its main monuments, including Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower, the Frauenkirche church and the elegant Maximilianstrasse boulevard. Munich is the capital of Bavaria state. The city is famous for its Oktoberfest, which unlike the name suggests is actually celebrated in September. After the sightseeing tour the afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. Save your appetite for this evening's “Bavarian Night” at the famous “Hofbräuhaus” restaurant, a feast with folk music and a traditional Bavarian dinner buffet. Day 07
Munich - Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Frankfurt  (440 km/273 mi)

After breakfast we travel to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Romantic Germany. Sightseeing tour of this romantic town. Next we travel to Frankfurt. The programme ends at Frankfurt airport, around 6 p.m.
